Matthew 6:33 and 7:7-8
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all these things will be given to you.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened.

Father God, You are the King and we praise and exalt your name. We thank You for your faithfulness and for your answers to prayer. We thank You for the provision that you have already granted to Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia Mudge. And we know in faith that it will continue. We specifically ask for an ongoing infilling of your Holy Spirit so that the Mudges may most effectively spread the good news about your Son, Jesus Christ to the people of Peru and the diocese of Albany. Amen.

Psalm 36: 5-10
Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens,
  your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
  your justice like the great deep.
O Lord, you preserve both man and beast.
How priceless is your unfailing love!
Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
  you give them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
  in your light we see light.
Continue your love to those who know you,
  your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Lord, we praise and exalt You for your love which reaches to the heavens and for your faithfulness which is so great that it touches the skies. How priceless is your unfailing love! Thank You for the feast of abundance and the drink from the river of delights. Thank You for the fountain of life and for your wonderful light. Continue your love to those who know You especially to Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia Mudge. Let them feast on your abundance and drink from the river of delight and from the fountain of life. May they spread your light and your love to the people of Peru as they live in your righteousness.
Amen.

Acts 26: 16-18
Jesus’ words to Paul: “Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”

Lord, Jesus, we pray for Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia. We believe that you have called them to be witnesses to the people of Peru just as you called Paul to witness to the Gentiles. Give them every spiritual gift that they will need to open eyes and turn the Peruvians from darkness into light and from the power of Satan to God. Help them to teach of your great mercy and forgiveness and to bring the people into sanctification by faith in You.

Also, Lord, we thank You for the finances that have already been provided and ask that the required monthly pledges come in soon.

Amen.

Matthew 28: 18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Lord, we pray for Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia Mudge and we thank You for calling them to make disciples in the mission field in Peru. Thank You that You are with them and will be with them always, to the very end of the age. Empower then with Your Holy Spirit to bring many into relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ.

We also pray for the diocesan Missions Conference on October 11. May this be an inspiring time which will lead many others into your mission field. Bless all the people of the Albany diocese that you have called. With You, Lord, all is “Mission Possible”.

Amen.
