Weekly Prayer Mail

Sunday 6 September 2009

Dear Prayer Team,

Peace be with you.

I hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend. I am sending this weekly public prayer mail ahead of our usual time, due to our journey to Chile tomorrow.

1) Thanksgivings:

a) Our visa process is well underway. The appointment last week went well, and now we go to Chile to get the actual visas.

b) Lydia has finished her time at language school.

c) Seminary class preparation is well underway.

d) Our installation at the seminary service went well on Monday.

e) We like Lima and what God is doing here.

2) Prayer requests:

a) Our trip to Chile. Monday through Wednesday.

b) For the final phase of the whole immigration paperwork process (the final phase will be applying for the official cards we carry).

c) Course preparation. Classes and mentor groups begin the week September 14. Pray for the Holy Spirit to touch the lives of the students by what we do.

d) Life in the Spirit seminar. There is a good team working with us. It is a key program for the Bishop of Peru for the Diocese. Pray for the clergy and spouses and leaders. Begins on September 26. Julie and I lead off.

e) Parish ministry. A special long term parish emphasis on healing kicks off this week. Lydia is on the first healing team. Julie and I are part of the clergy team for various ministries. Please pray for the parish, that it may grow in the Lord.

f) Julie´s ministry with the Commission on Ministry.

g) Our administrative ministries at the seminary, and the various regular meetings at the seminary and in the diocese. For the staff, budgets, and priorities of both the diocese and the seminary.

h) Our language comprehension and speaking, finances, and priorities.

Thank you for praying for us. I pray for you every day.

Shaw, and on behalf of Julie and Lydia
