Weekly Prayer Mail

Dear Partners in Prayer,

Peace be with you.

This is our weekly public prayer mail.

Thanksgivings:

1) The Extraordinary Diocesan Synod in Lima went very well on Saturday. We had a good time catching up with friends from Arequipa whom we had visited last year.

2) We have had more opportunities this week to get to know the clergy, the people, and city of Lima better.

3) Our visa process continues.

4) We continue to improve in Spanish.

5) Our landlady arranged for some routine maintenance to our apartment.

Prayer requests:

1) Continued improvement in language comprehension and speaking.

2) Preparations for upcoming classes that we will be teaching, and our planning meeting with the Dean of the seminary this week.

3) Budget and priorities.

4) Continued progress in the residential visa and carnet process. If the paperwork goes smoothly over the course of the week or so, it is possible we could be traveling to a Peruvian consulate in Chilesometime in a few weeks from now.

5) Continuing good relationships with our landlady and the people in our building.

6) That we would continue to be good witnesses for Jesus Christ in all that we say and do.

7) That God's Holy Spirit would touch many lives through our ministry and life here.

I continue to pray for you daily. Thank you for keeping us in prayer.

God bless you.

In Christ,
Shaw, and on behalf of Julie and Lydia.
