Scripture Prayer

2 Timothy 2:2

You’ve heard my message, and it’s been confirmed by many witnesses. Entrust this message to faithful individuals who will be competent to teach others.

Lord, You know how Paul taught Timothy and Timothy was instructed to teach other faithful individuals who will then pass on the Christian message to even others. This is so much like the Mudge’s teaching mission. We pray Lord for an extra dose of the gift of teaching for Father Shaw and Mother Julie as they teach those in the Peruvian seminary to be able to go out and teach and preach to others. Inspire Father Shaw as he makes more teaching videos for You Tube. Be with both Shaw and Julie as they teach their course on Biblical Interpretation. And send Your Holy Spirit to the Rector of the Seminary as he creates the first on-line course on the book of Romans. We pray Lord for success in this distance learning initiative and we hope that this is just the first course of many that will be offered on-line and capable of reaching so many different students in the Spanish speaking world.

We pray for safety for Lydia as she navigates Lima’s bus system. We pray that all the administrative matters concerning the Mudge’s visa and residency card situation are resolved satisfactorily and in a timely fashion. And we pray for all the people in the ordination process and for Mother Julie as she continues to interview and guide these future servants of yours in their path of study.

Finally, Lord, we pray for the relationships and spiritual protection of all missionaries and other diocesan team members in Peru and for their ministries, finances, resources and priorities. Amen.
