Scripture Prayer

2Corinthians 4: 13-14

But since we have the same spirit of faith as that shown in what has been written, “I believed; therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak. We do so because we know that the one who raised up Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus and will bring us with you into his presence.

Lord, thank You for the faith of Father Shaw and Mother Julie and Lydia Mudge. Thank You that they believe and they speak and that their ministries bring new members into your kingdom who will be raised up with Jesus and brought into your presence.

Lord, we pray for a bounteous harvest from the teaching and the preaching and the praying and the healing that goes on throughout the diocese of Peru. We lift up Bishop Godfrey and Bishop Michael Chapman as well. Lord, we ask for special blessings upon all of the clergy and lay leaders and missionaries in Peru. Specifically we thank You for good class sizes in the seminary and especially for the 32 students from 4 countries taking the on-line course. We ask that the visa and residency card situation be completely resolved. Let the Holy Spirit be with Fr. Shaw as he celebrates the Holy Eucharist at La Ascension. And please guide the Mudges in all the logistics planning that needs to be done for their American trip this summer and for Lydia’s send off to college.

Most of all, Lord, thank You for that promise for all believers: You will raise us up with Jesus on that last day! Thank You. Alleluia! Amen.
