Colossians 1: 9-12

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

Lord we thank You for the progress that Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia Mudge have made this week in getting acclimated to life in Peru. We thank You that Fr. Shaw is feeling better and that progress is being made in learning Spanish. We continue to pray for the Mudges, asking You Father to continuously fill them with the knowledge of your will and grant them gifts of spiritual wisdom and understanding. Help them to live a life worthy of You and pleasing to You in every way, bearing fruit and always gaining in knowledge of You. Send them Your Holy Spirit to be strengthened with all power and showing great endurance and patience, thankfulness and joy. Let them be part of your kingdom of light and shine forth to the people of Peru bringing them into your kingdom too. Amen.
