Prayer Mail from Father Shaw

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Peace be with you.

I only have about 7 minutes before class. Hope I can fit our prayers in. If not, just keep us in prayer.

We had a great Mother's Day. Mother's Day is very important in Peru.

Praise reports:
1) Communications are coming along.
2) Language is coming along. We have started Intermediate level 2.

Prayers:
1) Communications arrangements. Cell phones, landlines, etc. It begins to add up, and we are making progress in sorting it all out. What do we really need, both in US and in Peru?
2) Banking arrangements.
3) Relationship with new landlord and with the current one. Apartment leases are different in Peru than in the US, and we would like this to be an on-going prayer item, to remain on good terms, and not let the relationships get bogged down in details.
4) Language learning. We're doing well, and we need to keep doing well.
5) Residential Visa and Carnet requirements; they just changed 5 weeks ago, which means that as they are now, eventually we have to start in Lima, go to Chile and come back, perhaps subsequently doing the same for Lydia. We plan to start the process at the end of language school in a few months.
6) Getting to know Lima better. We are learning a lot.

God bless you.

In Christ,

Shaw, and on behalf of Julie and Lydia.
