Psalm 37: 3-6

Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the Lord
And he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
Trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
The justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Lord, we pray for your presence with and your protection of Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia Mudge as they get acclimated to life in Peru. We pray against sickness and confusion and home-sickness. Send your Holy Spirit to help them with the everyday tasks that become more difficult in a new language and a new culture. Especially help them with the Spanish language, while they study it formally and as they must make themselves understood and comprehend those around them as well. Let the Mudges shine like the dawn and let their work bring glory to You. Amen.
