Psalm 90:1

Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.


Lord, You are our dwelling place and the dwelling place of Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia Mudge in Peru. Your Holy Spirit dwells with us and we are so thankful for that. Lord, we send up special prayers for the Mudges as they get settled in a new earthly dwelling place. Help them to get situated in their new, more permanent apartment. Let them stay on good terms with their landlady, and let those things that need fixing get repaired in a timely fashion. Let the internet problems be resolved, Lord, so that the Mudges can use Vonage to stay in more direct contact with their daughters, Hannah and Ruth, in the U.S. Thank You for the sense of humor and the organizational skills and the flexibility that you have given Fr. Shaw, Mother Julie, and Lydia, qualities that are helping them through this period as they get to know Lima. Help them to progress in their language study and be with them as decisions are made about the particulars of their ministry in Lima. Most of all, protect them from any danger and keep them in good health, protecting them from any food-borne illness. We praise You, Lord, and we thank You for all that the Mudges have learned in their first month in Peru. Amen.
